When you feel so all alone and you know your light is dim--
Turn your face toward the SON and let your heart seek Him.

Never Too Early in the A.M.
To be Amazed
I opened my Bible to Matthew chapter 1 this morning. As I read through the genealogy of Christ, I notices something unique. There were only a few women named in the verses...and here they are...
1. Tamar
2. Rahab
3. Ruth
4. Bathsheba
5. Mary
If you don't understand the significance of these names just on my naming them, let me explain what I find so fascinating.
1. Tamar played the harlot with her father-in-law...just to have a baby.
2. Rahab was a harlot who hid the spies in Jericho.
3. Ruth was a foreigner who acted on faith.
4. Bathsheba was the illegitimate wife of King David--the wife he killed to have.
5. Mary was a virgin--chosen to bear the King of Kings.
Now here's the humbling part...Four of these five women were blatant-out-and-out women who made mistakes with their lives. Basically, they were just like you and me. These women were girls who found themselves compromising their morals. AND GOD USED THEM TO BRING ABOUT THE PERFECT LAMB!
So next time you are shamed by something in your past, remember that God used the imperfect to eventually bring about the Perfect One.
And if you are one who judges those who make mistakes, YOU remember that God used the imperfect to bring about the Perfect--and then examine your own life. Guaranteed you'll find imperfections blotting every area.
God does not call the qualified. He qualifies the called. And that, precious reader, is enough to make me move forward in perseverance of a higher goal.
In the service of the King,
God's Gal Sarah

This is awesome. I gained some stuff from this:

1) There's a lot to be learned in every part of the Bible.

2) "God does not call the qualified. He qualifies the called."

Thank you for sharing this. Wow!
