When you feel so all alone and you know your light is dim--
Turn your face toward the SON and let your heart seek Him.

Trembling Heart in a Tumultuous World...
Watching the news can drive you mad. Yes, an angry mad. But also a crazy mad. :-) Between missing college girls, criminals on the loose, riots in Serbia, looney Presidential candidates, and a wobbly economy, I am considering a migration toward the "duh" shows like Andy Griffith, Beverly Hillbillies, and Hannah Montana.

Tonight, I was standing by the fireplace feeling my heart thump as I watched the TV. Men ran riotously toward the U.S. embassy in Serbia...the eerie darkness surrounding them only more ominous on the screen in the den. A though ran through my head, "what will it be like when my kids are growing up?" Sobering thought, huh?

Neil Cavuto (FoxNews) had a pastor on his show this afternoon. The pastor was trying to point out that all of these weather disasters and strange weather patterns were God's way of punishing the U.S. He was making his case well, but Neil kept inserting little things like, "if what you say is true, which I doubt..." Mom and I looked at each other and shared a sad smile. Yep...we live in a nation whose eyes are turned in the wrong direction.

I'm not really sure if I can describe the trepidation in my heart, but I'll try....

1.) Suppose that the most liberal candidate running in the race becomes President. What will that d0 to the nation, my children's futures, the economy, and freedom as we know it?

2.) If Islam continues as the fastest growing religion in the world, will my family face persecution before I die?
3.) Will I pay the price tomorrow for decisions made in our economy today?

4.) Is there any stability in this world?

5.) AAAAAAAAAA! I'M LIVING IN A FALLEN WORLD AND IT'S OVERWHELMING!

Hehe...yes it is. But suppose that Obama or Hillary becomes President *choking. gasping for breath*, it doesn't mean that God's not in complete control. It just means that He's got this big picture in mind. HE knows the trials ahead and who He wants in office to either guide His children or chasten them. So let the results be what they be....

There is always the chance that my family will one day face persecution. But let's face it...following God means you should face persecution. If you never go against the flow in this world, then maybe you are too much in the world.

Yes, I will most assuredly pay the price for the economic decisions made today. But that's ok. I know that my financial future is in BIGGER HANDS than those of the wacky politicians in office. (But it would be nice if they would make "smart" decisions. Matter of prayer)

Stability? HA. As Gloria Gather says, "This world's not stable. It will never be stable. But we do what we do because the Resurrection is true....and because He lives, you can face tomorrow."
And all God's people said, "AMEN" :-)
"Have no fear, for I [God] am with you. Be not afraid for I am your God. I will strengthen you and give you help and uphold you with My victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10

In the big scheme of things, God has the picture for how the puzzle will turn out. He just allows me to work one small area of it. So this trembling heart will just have to buck up in this tumultuous world and "take a big girl pill!"

BECAUSE HE LIVES,

God's Gal Sarah

I gave up watching the evening news years ago. I remember becoming so overwhelmed I didn't think I could stand it.
Yes, I become sad and scared if I dwell on what this world will be like for my grandchildren. God knows how upsetting these thoughts can be. That's why He told us not to worry about tomorrow... There WILL be plenty of problems for sure. We are designed (by God's wisdom) to cope with today alone.
Yep, I'm glad He's there to take care of the rest.
