Searching for God's will sometimes seems vague and mysterious to me. Where do I find it?Should I be looking harder? I read this today in my Bible study:

"We often find God's will when we do what's next and obediently respond to the normal duties of life. Elisabeth Elliot said that one of the best pieces of advice she ever got was 'Do the next thing.' We encounter God's guidance as we engage in the usual activities of life. God is the God of right now. He calls us not to be regretful over yesterday or worried about tomorrow. He wants us to focus on what He is saying to us and putting in front of us right now. The Enemy's voice will focus on the past and the future while the voice of God will focus on today. He is the God of right now. One of the clearest ways to discern God's voice is to ask Him to open your spiritual eyes to see His activity. When we see it, we need to immediately desert what we are doing to join Him. When God allows you to see His activity in the circumstances of your life, you have heard the voice of God."~Priscilla Shirer, Discerning the Voice of God (p. 90)

Enough said. Look for God and what He's doing in your everyday life.
