When you feel so all alone and you know your light is dim--
Turn your face toward the SON and let your heart seek Him.

Nu-uh! Ya-huh!

Ever heard one of those? My Government teacher said something today about school fights and I turned to Amy Brown and said, "We still have fights in our school!"

Anna and I get along better nowadays than we ever have. I say that and will probably go have a debate with her in the next hour. That's just how my life is. I boast about something and God says, "Ok, big girl, you better be ready to act upon that boast!"

"Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will."

~2 Timothy 2:23-26

The last few days have been a rollercoaster ride for our family. Somehow someone around here always has a complaint to issue. There are so many things that I would LOVE to say. Bringing to light the obnoxious, rude, manipulative, and mean things that THEY have said would not only be easy, but I tend to think that it would be satisfying. At least--for that brief moment before the Holy Spirit smacked me upside the head and groaned, "Whadja do that for?!"

But rather than look just at those big annoyances, I should just stop and recall the last fight I had with Anna. It was probably stupid too. And remember the verse where it says a servant of God should not quarrel? If you are flinching a little, listen to this....

"He who loves a quarrel loves sin...."
~Proverbs 17:19a

How are your relationships with brothers and sisters right now? Do you need to go apologize for your part in a "kafafle" in which you took part? Quarreling is easy for the moment~the effects of a quarrel may last a lifetime.
